How is it the end of October already? We have been busy lately and I cannot wait to have a weekend to relax. We randomly dress up for Halloween and haven't done so for the past couple of years. All these costumes ideas on Pinterest are making me wish we had planned something. If you do not subscribe to the SKIMM you need to immediately... it's an email newsletter delivered to your inbox every morning and it summarizes the world news with funny quips for those of us who are too busy/don't care to read 5 newspapers. They always have a great holiday spotify playlist.

Fall is slowly rolling in here. The cool temperatures make me want to bundle up in fluffy thick sweaters, layer my house with soft throws and lay by the fire. It has been hard to convince myself to crawl out from under the covers in the mornings. I have decided a fireplace in the kitchen will be mandatory for my next home. Happy hump day.

lucite

I absolutely love lucite. Crystal clear, easily shaped, and strong, the material has been used in design since the 60s. It may have lost its way in the design world for awhile but it is back with a vengeance. The best part of all is that it doesn’t take up visual space. A perfect balance for the heavier pieces in your room.
